Some of our lovely readers might be fortunate enough to have a significant other to celebrate this holiday with. Here are how we would celebrate if we didn't have #singlegirlproblems!
1. Go to dinner. However, not just any dinner! If possible, go back to same place you had one of your first dates! How darling.
2. Cook for him or vice versa. That way it can be nice and intimate.
3. Watch your favorite movie(s). Lots of cuddling involved.
4. Do something you both love. Whether it's going for a walk, seeing a movie, or going to a museum.
5. Make fondue. If you have a pot, make fondue!! (or go out for some!) If I (C) had a boyfriend, I would definitely love this for Valentines Day!
Most of all, express gratitude for whoever it may be!!
Love,

Be Mine, Valentine Series: Day 5
As promised, we're going to talk about gift swaps for Valentine's day! Gift exchange parties are a really fun way to forget about any thoughts you may have about being #ForeverAlone (yes I just hashtagged...). Don't let this Hallmark holiday get you down. Here are some party planning suggestions:
- As the host of the party, planning is key. Make a list of friends you are inviting and from that last, match people up for the gift exchange. Each guest should be paired up with another guest to give a gift to.
- Whether you plan to cook yourself or have the party catered, accumulate a list of foods to serve at the party. Food is a necessity. Try to serve pink or red colored foods to tie into the Valentine's Day theme. (For ideas, I suggest referring back to our Red Velvet 'Cupcake in a Jar' recipe.)
- Make it seem super legitimate by sending out cute Valentine's Day themed invites to all of your friends. Who doesn't love getting letters in the mail? Also, make it clear who each guest will be giving their gift to and what the dress code is. Casual or fancy, your guests must look fabulous!
- So the day of the party arrives and you are setting up/making preparations. Designate a certain area of the house for the gift exchange to occur. I always love the living room/sitting room setting where everyone has a seat to sit and watch others open up their gifts.
- You're all set up and the guests are arriving. Give a warm welcome to your friends, have a lovely time, and open up a wonderful Valentine's Day gift!

Be Mine, Valentine Series: Day 3!
Sometimes, you just need to have fun with your girl friends. Valentines Day is a fun time to celebrate with your friends, regardless if you're single or not!
- Go to coffee with a group of friends. This can be a super fun way to start off your day and bond with your friends!
- Bake something for your office/class. Not only is it fun to bake, but it will surely make everyone smile!!
- Host a Valentine party for your friends. A fun little feature is a pink/red swap (See some ideas tomorrow!) It can be an inexpensive fun little perk! You can also serve pink and red snacks and drinks!!
- Give out little Valentines. Whether you make them yourself or buy them, you're never too old for Valentine cheer!
Do you celebrate Valentines Day with your girl friends? Let us know!!

Be Mine, Valentine Series: Day 2
After buying yourself a little treat, here are some things you can do to make Valentines Day more fun if you're bummed (or not) about being single!
1. Get a Mani/Pedi. Be sure to pick a fun red or pink! This will definitely pick up your week! (C may be or may not be planning on doing this!)
2. Give yourself an at home facial or relaxing bath. Getting some down time will make your week go by faster, and we can all use some me time!
3. Get your favorite thing for dinner. Whether you make a mean pasta, pick up Chick-Fil-A or order Chinese take out, good food makes everything better!
4. Watch a movie. Make it a comedy. No one needs to feel worse about themselves by watching a total romance.
5. Remember, being single is still fun! It's not forever! Embrace it while you can!!
C and A are both embracing being single this Valentines Day, so we'll probably be doing some of this!! Watch for tomorrow!
XOXO,
A+C
