Things Just Work Out

Hey everyone, This is a little bit more of a personal post, courtesy of yours truly, C.

Last weekend, I was accepted to the school of my dreams. I have never been so excited. After months of working my you know what off preparing for the ACT, taking it 6 times, 16 college visits, 9 applications, too many essays to count, and many hours contemplating my future, It all worked out. There were more moments than not when I thought I would not make it into this school that was a bit of a reach for me. It worked out. I told myself that if I wasn't accepted, than a better plan was in the works for me.

But it was so hard, deep down, I knew that I could be happy at more than one place. But only one place truly felt like home to me. So, if you are discouraged about anything (especially anxious seniors), just know that things work out. And all of that hard work pays off when you get a letter in the mail, email, phone call or anything else. That moment of hearing a "yes" made all of those ACT tutoring sessions and hours spent on essays so worth it. I know the same will happen for you, whether it be school related, job related, or anything else in your future. Take it from me, things work out, even when you don't think they will.

And before I get questions about what fabulous school I'm talking about, I want to let you know that I'll be keeping this one a secret for awhile, as will A about her current college. (it's not the same one, as awesome as that would be!) I will say it is a medium sized LAC college somewhere in the USA.

Don't give up, if it's in me, it's in you!
love,
C
